Siam Seaplane Welcomes Captain Somyod Mahannop as Chief Operating Officer
Bangkok, Thailand – 13 March 2025 – Siam Seaplane is pleased to announce the appointment of Captain Somyod Mahannop as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). With over 16,000 flight hours and more than two decades of experience in commercial aviation, flight instruction, and safety management, Captain Somyod brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the company as it continues expanding Thailand’s first premium amphibious seaplane service.
A former airline captain and instructor on the Airbus A340 and Boeing 777, Captain Somyod has built a distinguished career in aviation, holding key roles in flight safety investigation, regulatory compliance, and training. He holds a Master’s degree in Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich, Germany. His international background, multilingual skills, and experience working alongside global aviation authorities will be invaluable in further strengthening Siam Seaplane’s operational excellence and commitment to safety.
A Passion for Seaplane Aviation & Thailand’s Tourism Growth
