While the COVID-19 Delta variant is wreaking havoc in Thailand, and new strict lockdown measures are now in place, our team has been putting significant effort in progressing on commercial progress as well as local regulatory buy-in.Two recent examples are from the provinces of Rayong and Trat.
In Rayong, we had the wonderful chance to meet with Khun Piya Pitutacha, President of the Provincial Administration Organization (PAO), who shares the same interest in seaplane services. We discussed the possibility of seaplanes, new traveling style and opening up new routes to areas previously much harder to be reached.
We also visited Koh Samed, meeting with Samed Resorts Group and Grand View Group, owners of several premium and luxury resorts, establishing solid partnerships and collaboration. On the mainland in Klaeng, near Koh Samed, we had the opportunity to meet with Novotel and Marriott. Lastly, we are happy to announce a new partnership also with Dropzone Thailand, a world class skydiving center and the best dropzone in Thailand, with the highest standard and safety.
On a recent visit to Trat province, we visited the three breathtaking islands of Koh Chang, Koh Mak and Koh Kood, with a full schedule of inspections and meetings with many of our hotel partners such as Siam Royal Bay, Santhiya Koh Chang, High Season Resort, Away Resort and more. On Koh Mak, we had the privilege to share about Siam Seaplane to multiple stakeholders in an interactive and engaging session.
Thank you to everyone for their trust and support, to get closer to our goal of connecting main hubs to remote getaways to provide better accessibility, at the highest safety standard while ensuring sustainable practices and environmental awareness.
One of the largest islands with 217 square km, home to beautiful jungle and coral reefs, stone cliffs, rainforest, and unspoiled nature. Koh Chang by its name, meaning the Elephant Island as the main island has the shape of an elephant.
