Welcome to Singapore Airshow —
— a biennial airshow, Asia’s “most influential” one, that first took flight in 2008. This world-class event attracts distinguished government and military delegations alongside top-tier corporate executives from across the globe. It serves as a global platform, bringing together prominent aerospace industry leaders and emerging players, including innovative startups, to showcase their advancements and make a significant impact in the international aerospace and defense market.
Our Chief Business Officer Dennis Keller was able to attend the Airshow this year and share some of his impressions with us. “What clearly stood out to me was the focus on both sustainability initiatives and new types of aircraft, particularly EVTOL,” Dennis observes. “What I was glad to see also was specific initiatives focused on the amphibious and float markets. We’re clearly seeing a seaplane renaissance, and some of that was reflected also at the Singapore Airshow.”
Sustainability is a cornerstone of Siam Seaplane’s philosophy, with our three-pronged approach dubbed ‘Sustainable by Design’. The Airshow has provided us with renewed vigor in pursuing our sustainability plans with expedited execution and in partnership with leading players in the market. Stay tuned for more to come here.
“Besides admiring the static and flying displays of a range of different aircraft — old and new — the trade part of the Show was most productive for me,” states Dennis. “I had the opportunity on behalf of Siam Seaplane to meet with some of our close partners and friends, such as Textron, Wipaire, Pratt & Whitney, Bose Aviation & APAC, but also got the chance to catch up with other Cessna Caravan and private charter operators in the region, many of which we are close to.”
Fred Hervot, Managing Director of APAC, underlines that he was "very pleased to meet up with Siam Seaplane at the Airshow, our partner for the distribution of Bose Aviation Headsets in Thailand. We shared on the recently launched Bose A30 Headset and the local support of the pilots and aviator community in Thailand."
Events like these are important to keep a pulse on the trends and to think ahead for what our vision in 5, 10 and 20 years can and should look like. We’re proud to be planning for, and start executing a sustainable operation, both in the sense of environmental impact as well as from an economic contribution and business perspective. We’re equally proud to have many strong partners surrounding us, and would like to express our sincere thank you to all of them and all of you.
We think, Singapore Airshow was a great success and we’re happy to keep moving forward.
